Our online MBA is designed to help you develop the business acumen and skills that matter most to organizations. In addition to gaining a thorough understanding of core business principles, you will build critical professional effectiveness skills in areas such as managing change, negotiation and ethical leadership. As part of the MBA program, you may work with a professional effectiveness coach to help you position yourself for tomorrow's leadership role. The MBA specialization in accounting will expand your knowledge in areas such as budget planning and control, audit and evaluation of controls, and the nature and function of accounting information in the decision-making process. This program will build the strategic perspective you need to interact effectively with executive management and strengthen your ability to succeed in middle and senior management positions. This program can be completed in two years. Admission to the accounting specialization requires that learners complete and submit the School of Business and Technology Certification of Accounting Experience form. Capella University does not guarantee that the MBA with a specialization in accounting, on its own, will provide learners with the educational requirements necessary to be eligible to sit for the CPA examination or other professional licensures. Learners are encouraged to contact their state boards of accountancy for requirements in their state. Capella University will seek approval of this new specialization from the states of Arkansas and Georgia. Learners should contact an enrollment counselor for current approval status in these states.  About Capella UniversityAdmissions requirements vary by program and specialization. International applicants residing outside the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands are not eligible for acceptance into programs requiring supervised clinical internships or practical within the Schools of Human Services and Psychology. Capella participates in several federal financial aid programs including the Federal Pell Grant Program and Federal Stafford Loan Program. Capella is also eligible to certify Veterans Educational Benefits and can provide information on other non-federal loan programs. |
