The goal of the Medical Billing and Insurance Coding program is to provide the student with a thorough understanding of the content of medical records. Included in the program is extensive training in anatomy, physiology, disease processes and medical terminology. This program will provide the student with the knowledge and understanding to analyze medical records, assign codes, classify diagnoses and procedures while applying the principles of professional and ethical conduct. This program will prepare the student for an entry-level position as a medical coder in a hospital, clinic or other health care facility. The DMBIC program will also prepare students to become certified as a CCA through the American Health Information Management Association.  About HerzingHerzing College was one of the first post-secondary institutions founded to train students for the computer industry. Since 1965, career-focused education has been the focus of Herzing, even as it grew to encompass six campuses in the US, five campuses in Canada and the founding of its online division.
